Paul Pogba Stars In Adidas Ad Relaunching Predator Footwear Line

Adidas is relaunching its Predator footwear line with a "stylish new online spot" starring ManU's Paul Pogba, according to Alexandra Jardine of AD AGE. Set to the soundtrack of "I Put A Spell on You," by Screamin' Jay Hawkins, the spot, by Iris, is directed by Skunk's Jonathan Augustavo in black and white, "with only splashes of color." As Pogba "goes around weaving magic on the world while wearing Predator, a gang of youths carrying a ball are transformed" into adidas shirt-wearing players, "a middle-aged female passer-by gets a sexy makeover and more." The ad contains "various references to other famous players who wore Predator, which had its heyday" in the late '90s/early '00s, including Zinedine Zidane and Alessandra del Piero (AD AGE, 11/27).
